Class 4 Impact Resistant Shingles

Did you know that there may be a way for you to save up to 30% on your insurance premiums by selecting a certain kind of shingle?

There is a designation of shingles, Class 4 Impact Resistant (UL 2218), that insurance companies are incentivizing because of their good track record.  The Texas Department of Insurance explains more about the classification here.

If you are ready for a roof replacement State Roofing Company recommends that you talk with your insurance agent to see if your house will qualify for any savings.  Some insurance companies only offer the savings if you replace a wooden shingle roof with a new Impact Resistant roof; and in other cases the insurance companies remove coverage of the roofing system entirely.  Check with your insurance agent to see what difference there is in coverage, and how much you can save in premiums. It never hurts to get this information in writing.

One of the advantages with working with State Roofing Company is that we can install roofing products from any shingle manufacturer.  We have long-standing business relationships with all major suppliers that benefit our customers.

There are, however, two shingle manufacturers that State Roofing Company is most likely to use.  We would recommend:

State Roofing Company has achieved the top factory certification from both manufacturers so our customers receive the best manufacturer’s warranty in the business.
