The owners chose the GAF Timberline HD Ultra Lifetime® shingle for the new roof installation. The Slate colored shingle complemented the architecture and paint colors of the restaurant. The heavier weight Ultra shingle was used due to the high winds that are often present on the coastal location. GAF Pro-Start® was utilized for the starter strip. GAF Z-ridge® was used on the hip condition with GAF Timber-Tex® used over the 12” GAF Cobra Ridge-vent®. The ridge vent was utilized at all the ridges to facilitate adequate ventilation for the structure. GAF Stormguard® was utilized in the valleys and around all penetrations in the roofing system.
